Dear Neighbor,
Thank you for visiting my website to learn more about me and where I stand on the issues. I am running to represent you in the Nebraska Legislature because I have the experience necessary to provide leadership on key issues like education, taxes, immigration, and local control. For over 25 years my wife Cherie and I have lived in District 39 and so I understand the challenges facing our families.
Growing up in West Point, Nebraska I learned the meaning of hard work while working on the farm and I understand the importance of agriculture to my community and state. My parents instilled in me and my siblings the importance of an education and serving the public good. After graduating from high school, I left West Point to serve our Nation in the United States Marine Corp. After being honorably discharged from the Marine Corp, I returned home to Nebraska where I met my wife of 45 years Cherie. I went to work for OPPD where I enjoyed a 40 year career starting out working as a journeyman lineman and finishing my career in the corporate office as the administrator of workers compensation and health and safety. I was responsible for the safety of all OPPD employees and the public. I belong to and serve many community organizations including the Papio-Valley Preservation Association.
Over these years, I have been blessed with many life experiences such as working the family farm, serving in the armed forces, raising a family in tough times, and managing people and money. Many in my family were educators and their belief that “those to whom much is given…much is expected” is a belief that I too share. I believe that my experiences uniquely provide me with the ability to represent you, and all citizens of District 39, effectively in the Nebraska Legislature. I hope to earn your trust and your vote on May 13th.
